It is the ideal starting point to explore the beautiful Ligurian Coast with the scenery of the Cinque Terre, the Tuscan coastline, Corsica and the French Riviera.
The marina is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, rich in history and culture and perfectly framed by a stunning mountain with an amazing natural park.
From the point of view of nature, the area is one of the richest in Liguria and offers its guests the opportunity to enjoy wonderful walks and to partake in all outdoor sports: horse riding, canyoning, jogging, cycling and much more, or to stay in one of the typical huts enjoying the traditional local dishes surrounded by greenery.
The area is full of historic sites and traditions: from the mediaeval village of Castiglione Falletto to the Castle of Monticello d’Alba to the Bosco dei Pensieri of the royal estate of Fontanafredda.
And if stop off in Mondovì you can admire the breathtaking view from above on board a hot air balloon!
For those who love the underground world of caves, the ones of Toirano are absolutely amazing and if you move to the border with Piemonte you can taste the typical truffles of the Langhe Roero region as well as the famous wines such as Barbera, Barbaresco, Dolcetto and Dogliani.
Continuing to Levante, you should visit the Sanctuary of the Infant of Prague in Arenzano while, towards the west, you will come across Savona, with its historic heritage and cultural events.
Finally just a half hour drive away is Genoa, with its historical and artistic beauty, and deserving of a detour on the road to Genoa is Boccadasse, an ancient fishing village that offers a unique glimpse into the life of a fisherman. Dozens of monuments, historic buildings and churches and the typical “alleyways” that host activities and workshops that still preserve the traditions and culture of the city.
Mooring in Varazze
Varazze Marina is located South-East of the town and covers an area of about 232,000 square metres.
It has 800 large and modern berths for boats measuring up to 45 metres.
The water space within the port has 12 fixed and three floating piers and the manoeuvring channels are particularly easy to cross.
Thanks to its prime location, the good railway connections, the proximity to highways and airports, Varazze Marina has become a tourist destination of primary importance, comfortable and easy to reach even in the peak summer weekends.
In just five minutes you can reach the heart of the town of Varazze thanks to a beautiful promenade.
Furthermore it is twenty-five kilometres from Genoa and from Cristoforo Colombo airport and is only two hours from Switzerland.
The complex has 900 parking spaces (covered and uncovered), restaurants, bars and shops.
Wi-Fi coverage is guaranteed across the harbour and the security service, 24 hours, is among the most advanced, with video-night surveillance through CCTV cameras as well as the presence of armed security.
Varazze Marina promotes the concept of “freedom of service“. According to this idea, the owner can choose between taking care personally of his own boat or completely delegate the management of it directly to the marina that guarantees a full management of the yacht and services of the highest level.
From the 2016 season, the services in the Marina have been enriched with bike rental, luxury cars and courtesy electric cars to move smoothly to Varazze and the surroundings.
The Marina also offers support in hotel reservations, theatre and flight tickets, catering on board and baby- and dog-sitting.
Furthermore the staff will help you in the selection of personalised itineraries to discover the territory according to your needs.
The range of services offered, thanks to the competent and friendly staff, is guaranteed to make your vacation more pleasant and relaxing.
The Marina’s most valuable feature, its jewel in the crown, is undoubtedly its waterfront with the elegant townhouses, perfect in every detail, inspired by the Ligurian seaside resorts of the early twentieth century but with modern interiors and high class materials.
The design of the whole structure is the innovative work of one of the most famous architectural firms in Italy: Roberto Gabetti and Aimaro Isola of Turin.
The choice of finishes, the use of Iroko wood, the stones and the colour of antique copper lining the roofs of buildings, shows how they focus on the environment and on the desire to dialogue with the territory and its peculiarities.
The residences are inserted in a charming shopping environment. The Shopping Arcade has clothing stores, jewellers, technological accessories, design objects and furniture, bookshops and food shops.
The local and elegant restaurants and cafes, but especially the rich program of events, have made the modern marina a gathering place and a true attraction.
