This week Marinanow invites you to the south of Italy, in the Gulf of Policastro, to discover an ideal place for the winter storage of your boat: Tirreno Nautic Service.

The Gulf of Policastro

Policastro Gulf, located in the Southern Tyrrhenian Sea, extends from Punta Iscoletti to Cape Bonifati and is surrounded by mountains.  These include Mount Bulgheria, Monte Coccovello and Monte S. Biagio, that all descend to the sea.

The westernmost point of the Gulf is the tip of Infreschi, in Cilento, and the south-eastern one is the head of Scalea. Formerly it was called Sinus Laus and its name comes from the town of Policastro, which overlooks the entire Tyrrhenian coast of Basilicata.

Policastro Bussentino (or just Policastro) is the most populous village in the municipality of Santa Marina in the province of Salerno. An ideal place of departure to appreciate all the beauties of this wonderful coast.

Mooring and Storage

The Tirreno Nautic Service, located in the heart of the Gulf of Policastro, in the province of Salerno, was created by the passion for the nautical sector of its founder, Carmine Giudice.

Since 2007, the company offers many services: boat maintenance and assistance, sea lifts, land transports and mooring in the harbour.

It is a perfect place if you are looking for winter storage for your boat. The yard offers 800 sqm uncovered and 2500 fully covered, with video-surveillance 24h a day, with professional services and maintenance for motor and sailing boats up to 20 metres.

There is also a mechanical workshop equipped for electrical and electronic repairs on board with ordinary or extraordinary assistance on the most common brands in the industry.

The Tirreno Nautic Service also has moorings at the Port of Policastro for boats up to 14 metres long.

Boats up to 10 metres can, alternatively, choose the buoy moorings at Campo Boe Villammare (SA), with adraft that runs from 2 to 8 metres.

Campo Boe has 50 berths and it is active during the Summer Season, with 24hr day secured tender service, kiosk bar and a wide free parking area.
