Some press coverage: Sole24Ore

Marinanow has been featured in Nòva Sole24Ore on July 27, 2014.

In a nice article by Luca Tremolada, he describes the birth of the project.  He also describes our ambition to use the same sytsems used in booking a hotel room in the nautical world as well as our objectives for the near future.

It is in Italian but here’s a translated excerpt:

The field of berth booking is part of a world that is based on the phone call, the direct contact. In a few words, the digitized world does not exist here.  For example the mooring or Expedia for marinas. “MarinaNow – explains Alessandro Sestini – just wants to use the logic of booking a hotel room in the yachting world”.  The platform (also available as an app for Android and iPhone) is called MarinaNow. Last week it raised EUR 370 000 from a consortium of investors that includes The Net Value, the startup incubator based in Cagliari led by former CEO of Tiscali Italy, Mario Mariani, the VC Fund United Venture and a group of angel investors.
